Heart of Azeroth
Essence traits
BFA introduced azerite essences, and as my main is a feral druid I wanted to make this post on which essence I use. I wanted to get at least all rank 3 of my heart of Azeroth essence powers before I published this post. I finally managed to get the rank 3 vision of perfection after quite the farm on 08/08/2020. So from this day, I began to write this post. I hope you find this breakdown of my essences super helpful, do you agree with my choices of essences? If not what would you choose instead, let me know!
Without further delay, let’s begin!

1

Breath of the Dying. This is my go-to DPS main essence ability, in an opener when I use this ability after my rake stun, for additional DPS. It’s an amazingly strong essence and I haven’t replaced it since I’ve fully utilised it in my DPS rotation. Oh, did I forget to say? It can hit through paladins Blessing of Protection (BoP) which no other feral druid ability can, which is strong. Moonfire will, but it’s not strong in this instance. If you have a paladin without divine shield (bubble) and they’re down to 50k hp. They’ll bop thinking they’re safe, insta dead when you use Breath of the Dying.

Conflict and strife is an incredibly strong minor ability. Stacking up to 8 buffs of strife really brings up your versatility, incredibly beneficial as it’s one of the most important secondary stats for a feral druid. When the buff is active alongside the proc buff from Versatile navigation (x4) I get an extra 14% ish versatility while in combat, mid-fight, which really helps to survive that extra bit longer and hopefully won’t have to go into bear form as often.
3

Memory of Lucid Dreams. What is nicer than being able to have some energy refunded, get a little heal and then have a versatility increase? I’ll tell you what, nothing 😉. This is a very nice little essence I recommend having in one of your minor slots, even if it’s just for the versatility, worth.
4

Vision of Perfection was the final rank 3 I had to farm, and oh boy was it incredibly fun *not*. This is a very nice essence because it reduces the cool-down (CD) of Berserk by 25% (if you’re specced into Incarnation the essence does reflect this and it will say Incarnation instead of Berserk). It also increases your versatility permanently, while it’s a minor for 114, which for me was a whole 2% increase.
I hope this post has been helpful for you, BFA has added quite a lot of content, I am hoping my feral druid essence rundown is helpful. I use on a daily basis when playing wow. Any questions be sure to leave them in the comments section.
