AWC Shadowlands Circuit – Week 2

Overview

This weekend just gone saw another two days of combat in the AWC Shadowlands Circuit (Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th March) which saw the round robin continuing in both EU and NA regions. Still competing for the top 4 spots to make it to the AWC shadowlands finals.

Saturday 27th March

Saturday saw 4 EU games and only 3 NA games being played. The games were as follows. Listed in the VODs description are the teams names and respective ranks:

Match 1: (2) @Method EU vs (4) @Reload Esports

Match 2: (5) Creed vs (8) @ad hoc gaming

Match 3: (6) Blast Wave Bros vs (7) Tegridy Damp

Match 4: (1) @Skill Capped WoW Guides vs (3) @cowana gaming

Match 5: (1) @Method NA vs (8) @Spacestation Gaming

Match 6: (4) Charlotte Phoenix vs (6) @Golden Guardians

Match 7: (2) @OTK vs (7) Unitas

You can find the VOD just below if you want to watch Saturdays games:

AWC Shadowlands Circuit Week 2 – Day 1

First match was between Method EU and Reload Esports which saw reload esports take a very close series 3-2, then match 2 saw creed take on ad hoc gaming which ended in a 3-1 ad hoc gaming victory for that series. Match 3 gave us Blast Wave Bros taking on Tegridy Damp which was a convince 3-0 for Tegridy Damp. Match 4 was the mighty skill capped taking on Cowana Gaming which saw the series going in the favour of Skill Capped but it was a very close 3-2 series.

Match 5 and the first of the NA games was the intimidating Method NA against Spacestation gaming which saw Method NA taking the series convincingly in 3-0 fashion. Match 6 was Charlotte Phoenix vs Golden Guardians which saw the even benched Jellybeans making an appearance for the series with golden guardians taking the series 3-1. Match 7 was OTK going up against Unitas giving OTK their first series win by taking in 3-2.

Sunday 28th March

Sunday saw 3 EU games and 4 NA games this time around. I would assume to have an even amount of EU and NA games played throughout the weekend. Listed again in the VODs description are the teams names and respective ranks:

Match 1: (1) @Skill Capped WoW Guides vs (8) @ad hoc gaming

Match 2: (2) @Method EU vs (7) Tegridy Damp

Match 3: (4) Reload Esports vs (6) Blast Wave Bros

Match 4: (5) Hamsters & Hares vs (6) @Golden Guardians

Match 5: (3) @Cloud9 vs (4) Charlotte Phoenix

Match 6: (7) Unitas vs (8) @Spacestation Gaming

Match 7: (1) @Method NA vs (2) @OTK

AWC Shadowlands Circuit Week 2 – Day 2

Match 1 began the circuit with Skill Capped vs Ad Hoc Gaming which saw Skill Capped take the series 3-2 in a very close series. Match 2 was Method EU taking on Tegridy Damp, with Method EU taking the series in a strong fashion winning 3-0. Match 3 and the last of the EU games was none other than Reload Esports vs Blast Wave Bros with reload esports taking the series 3-1.

Match 4 we had Hamsters & Hares vs Golden Guardians, which we unfortunately saw Jellybeans taking to the bench again, and we saw Golden Guardians take the series 3-1. Match 5 saw the well known Cloud9 go up against Charlotte Phoenix with Cloud0 taking the series 3-1. Match 6 was Unitas vs the poor underdog team of Spacestation Gaming. Unitas took the series 3-0. Match 7 and the final game of the weekend gave us once again OTK going up against Method NA. Method NA took the series 3-1, but OTK so far being the only team to take a game off of Method NA gave us a very intense and fun series to watch.

As the weekend came to an end

After teams had fought against one another across the two days of action packed arena games totaling to 14 matches played over the course of two days, of course, they have to do it all over again not next week but the following week. According to the schedule the games resume on Saturday 10th April which is this the following weekend (not this Saturday but the next). So something for you all to look forward to, can’t wait to see what the teams bring to that week.

Wrapping up

Once again we had another fun action packed weekend with many enjoyable games to watch. It was nice to see OTK and Method EU take a win which they so badly needed in this circuit. But it also, unfortunately, saw Spacestation Gaming taking a 0-4 so far in the circuit, making it very tough for them to make the top 4. Let’s see what all these teams bring to the next circuit. That’s all I got for you for now, but I will post about the next circuit which begins on the 10th April for those of you who take an interest in these posts and enjoy reading about the weekend.
