AWC Shadowlands Cup 4 (5th – 7th March)

Overview

Over the course of the weekend we have seen the AWC Shadowlands Cup 4 unravel on the world of warcraft’s YouTube channel. This post will give you the vods from the course of the weekend, as well as information about the AWC Shadowlands cups, from as much information as I can find to suffice this post.

Friday 5th March

It started off on Friday with the EU region fighting for their place in the AWC circtuit tournament, attempting to eliminate other teams, win the cup to maximise their points gained to ensure they make it to the circuit, you can catch the vod here:

Saturday 6th March

On Saturday we saw the US region doing the same thing as EU did the day before, you can catch the vod here:

Sunday 7th March

Then, finally after hours of battling in numerous arenas, elimination of multiple teams we landed on champsionship sunday. You can find the vod here:

Championship Sunday determines the winner of the cup for each region and then the teams are allocated points based off of where they finish off. Below, you can see the point allocation for each place:

So congratulations to the EU champions Skill Capped EU and congratulations to the NA champions Hamsters & Hares.

What does this mean now? Well that is the final of the four cups and the top 8 players from each region will make it to the circuit, as the schedule shows there will be 4 weeks of the S1 Shadowlands circuit, in which players from both EU and NA will fight for the title of world champion https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/esports/schedule.

Unfortunately, the rest of the teams don’t qualify, but best of luck to them in the next AWC Shadowlands cups.
